About the Six-Hour Southern Tug Hill Tour
With an annual snowfall of over 200 feet in the area, this tour is for people who have ridden snowmobiles before and want to be on the trail all day. We head out to Boonville and travel toward Tug Hill. The ride includes groomed trails, state forest lands, and open fields, with numerous stops to warm up and eat some hearty meals at local favorite trailside restaurants. The tour is approximately 60-75 miles, depending on the pace of the group.
Jeff is licensed by NYS DEC as an Outdoor Guide and has over 30 years of riding experience. He holds certifications in Snowmobile Safety, First Aid/CPR, Water Safety, Wildland Search Skills, and Land Navigation. Jeff is eager to show you all the “best-kept secrets” only accessible by snowmobile. His favorite part about being a tour guide is seeing his guests enjoy themselves for the first time on a snowmobile!
Jared, Assistant Guide
Jared is a winter enthusiast. When not snowmobiling, he enjoys skiing and makes the terrain park home. He holds a certification in Snowmobile Safety and has been riding since the age of 5. During the off-season, he travels all over the east coast racing BMX in the expert class.
Please bring gear for the snow, including:
- Hats/headgear (balaclava)
- Gloves — must cover wrists
- Wool socks (preferred)
- Winter boots
- Heavy winter jacket
- Optional: sunscreen (snow is reflective)
Safety is our priority. We don’t take anyone out who is not prepared to be out in winter conditions. We can provide gear if need be, or rent you a whole gear package for $25.
